It’s crafty week! The vote was divided between these two activities, and we definitely have the space and time to do both. So we are.

It’s also our last session before fall semester. Please let me know if you’ve invited friends to join us. We are expecting a bigger crowd this week before the groups split into our Indian Hills and Lakewood/Arvada locations (or both!). Our site had more than 100 visitors this week – other families looking for group connection this year. I’ve done a lot of back-and-forth vetting before inviting some of them to this last session. But if you have not officially joined, please fill out the form here to hold your spot for fall semester. I just don’t want to miss anyone.

Outdoors: We’ll set up a space to make paper airplanes. I’ll bring a kit we have with directions, extra paper and a few supplies for these launchers. If anyone wants to bring scissors, tape, rubber bands, paper clips and glue, those would be helpful.

Indoors: The kids also wanted to make an air-dry clay “donut” stand. I’ll buy this pack of clay, bring our shaping tools, glitter + a spinning cake stand for display purposes. Please whatever you’d like to contribute to this project + bring a container to cart home your kids’ creations.

Can everyone bring a box of popsicles? We can swap if we want, but we should be covered if everyone brings some. We do have freezer space.

10 am – Free play / Rooms set for the day + indoor game table set up
11 am – Paper airplane station set up
12 pm – Lunch outside in the shade + free play
1:30 pm – Popsicle time (you’ll bring popsicles, right?!?)
2:30 pm – Clean up, then outside play
3 pm – End of our rental period

Games + Activities Table
We will continue to share a table of games, puzzles and/or crafting materials. Bring whatever calming materials your kids enjoy + can share. We will also continue with the quiet room, which can be used for board games.

This week, please bring:
A blanket for outdoors – we’ll eat outside this week (there are tables too)
Paper airplane misc. – rubber bands, paper clips, etc
Lunch + snacks for your people
Popsicles!
A game, craft or puzzle to share

On Deck
Let’s vote on what to do next week. The ideas:
(1) build popsicle stick catapults + targets
(2) real-life Among Us game: building tasks, making rules + game play!
(3) explore the world of spying: secret codes, invisible ink + hide-and-seek
(4) plan a bigger group homeschool market?
