Candle-making time! Please bring whatever supplies you’d like to use for making candles. I have several pounds of organic beeswax pastilles I’ll bring to share, and I have wicking for dipped candles (it’s not thick enough for poured). Those who wish to pour candles, which is easier, will need to buy wicking, something to hold or stick the wicking into a jar, plus a jar or two to use. We also need a pot to heat wax in, plus stirring utensils and jars for pouring wax. Beware that the waxed materials will be difficult to clean again. See here and here for supplies + tips.
We will bring other art supplies as well + I’m hoping to set up the slackline this week.
It’s gonna be 65º, and we’re going to adventure across Ralston to fish + explore after lunch. Bring some kind of fishing gear if you like. There’s also another playground and a creek to explore over here too, but it’s mostly a nice little walk together out of our usual space.
This week, please bring:
Candle-making supplies
Fishing supplies (optional)
Lunch + snacks for your people
A game, craft or puzzle to share
