We’re meeting 1:30pm at Clear Creek Canyon Park Gateway Trailhead (Clear Creek Canyon Rd, Golden, CO 80403 – works in Google only!). It’s in the armpit beneath highways 93 and 58 (map below). Look at the trail map when you arrive, head down the stairs + toward the nearest opening to the water – we’ll try to wrangle everyone here. There’s a great space to play that’s maybe 1/4 mile west (to the right) along the path, where it splits across the bridge (you’re not crossing!). Feels like an island there + the trees break to give us mamas some sunshine. If all the nature is “boring” – I’ve heard it before – your fam can take the trail off toward Golden to play at Lions Park in about 1/2 mile.

If your map flags this space as “trail closed,” rest assured it is not. This trail is a climber’s paradise, and the uphill portions are closed seasonally for rapture nesting.
Come when you can, bring what you want + let’s explore together!

Upcoming:
March was supposed to be Matthews/Winters Park, but (as predicted) they’re currently closed for mud. So… let’s do a playground tour! The current plan:
March 23: Memorial Park (8001 W 59th Ave, Arvada, CO 80004)
March 30: Fruitdale Park (4700 Miller St, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033)
Collected future options: Bear Creek Greenbelt (Lakewood), McKay Park (Broomfield), Clear Creek Canyon Park, Gateway Trailhead (Golden), Heritage Dells Park (Golden) Paco Sanchez Park (Denver), Memorial Park (Arvada), Fruitdale Park (Wheat Ridge). Feel free to suggest your favorite!
New here? You’re welcome to join our park days at any time. You don’t even have to tell us you’re coming – although it’s probably better we know to wait for you! Whole families are always welcome. We ask that you are a homeschooling family with at least one kiddo in the 5-16 age range.
