May 2: Beginner Teen Backpacking Trip

Beginner backpacking for ages 12+ at White Ranch. This is a one-night, intro trip for older kids who haven’t backpacked much (or at all) but want to try it. We’ll be gone 24 hours in total. Everyone carries their own gear, including tents, sleeping bags, clothing, food + water.

Th – June 1: Play at Stone House Park @ 10a

Come find us at the Stone House (2900 S Estes St, Lakewood, CO 80227) in Lakewood, right off the Bear Creek greenbelt. There’s a series of fishing ponds, wide open fields and dirt trails, loads of little turnoffs to creekside space for play + access to the wide, paved Bear Creek Trail too.

Th – May 25: Play at McKay Lake Park + Open Lands

We’re meeting again at McKay Lake Park + Open Lands @ 1:30pm (R8866177, Broomfield, CO 80023). It’s supposed to be warm, so bring sunscreen + lots of water.

Th – May 18: Play at McKay Lake Park + Open Lands

If you’re into rain, there might be others who live closer showing up too. See you next week. Drive safely! We’re meeting again at McKay Lake Park + …

Th – May 4: Play at McKay Lake Park + Open Lands

We’re meeting at McKay Lake Park + Open Lands @ 1:30pm (R8866177, Broomfield, CO 80023). The play structures (pictured below) are near the southeast parking lot, so that’s the address I gave above. If you’re not on Google, the lot is off of Zuni + W 138 Ave. Let’s try to meet near the play …

Th – April 27: Play at Matthews/Winters Park

We’re meeting at Matthews/Winters Park @ 1:30pm (1103 County Highway 93, Golden, CO). Head down the hill toward the little bridge over the water, but don’t cross it. There’s a deer trail to the right that heads into the woods, and that’s where we’ll be tucked away! Bring some clothes prepped for mud, possibly a …
