If you’d like to participate as a corvid, please wear black (or dress as any corvid) + plan to exchange shiny objects, as they are wont to do. If not, we will still make felt treasure pouches + complete a treasure hunt for goodies to put inside!

M – November 3: Candy Science + Sandwich Bar
Now that everyone probably has a few extra candies lying around, let’s use them to set up some kitchen science experiments. Bring a few packets of colorful candies no one will eat (Skittles, Dots, M+Ms, Nerds) + we’ll do a candy sorting game, then set up stations for the following candy-based activities: Candy Core Sampling / Candy Melt / Skittles Rainbow. For lunch, today is National Sandwich Day! Let’s set up a DIY sandwich bar.
M – October 27: Halloween Party
Halloween-themed games + activities will be happening throughout our day together! Please wear your costumes + plan to play! The group text thread has all of the games + prizes that Tasha, Tuesday + Tyrion have planned, so please bring whatever you signed up for – it’s not all listed below.
M – September 8: The First One
Triorama Dream Rooms can be anything they want – it’s a single room on a piece of paper, drawn/decorated as they like, then folded into a 3-dimensional space. They can also build cardboard/paper furniture for this as well.
M – January 27: Woodbury Branch Library
We have reserved the basement meeting room rental at Woodbury Branch Library (3265 Federal Blvd. 80211) from 11am-2pm. This library has a giant park/playground/basketball court on the same lot, so bring whatever your family needs to be comfortable playing inside and out. Because the room is in the basement, we will not be able to see the playground from the building. We will discuss how to be sure kids are playing safely in outdoor spaces.
M – January 13: Anythink Huron
Tasha has organized the meeting room rental at Anythink Huron (9417 Huron St. Thornton, CO 80260) from 11am-2pm. This library has its own park/playground on the same lot, so bring whatever your family needs to be comfortable playing inside and out.
M – December 16: Feliz Navidad
It’s our last week with a kitchen space for awhile, so let’s make the most of it! We’re doing group tacos as part of la fiesta de navidad.
M – December 9: Engineering + Lego
It’s LEGO day! We’re going to set up a few, timed challenges – tallest tower, sturdiest bridge, longest build, etc – and get started working with bricks that way. From there, we can add a more specific challenge, if people are interested, or else it devolves into a building free for all. Let’s see whether we can’t build a whole town over the course of the day.
M – December 2: Cookies + an Obstacle Course
Let’s start the day by setting up an obstacle course. We’ll clear a wide area for physical play + let the kids put this together. If you have any soft, gymnastic-style materials that we can use for this, please bring them. We’re especially looking for pads, floor beams, things to jump over or go around, etc.
M – November 18: Sew Free
We’re sewing + dyeing fabric with vegetable peels. I’ll bring some fabric scraps + my sewing box, but we’ll need more contributions of fabric, felt, thread, + needles.
