M – December 2: Cookies + an Obstacle Course

Let's start the day by setting up an obstacle course. We'll clear a wide area for physical play + let the kids put this together. If you have any soft, gymnastic-style materials that we can use for this, please bring them. We're especially looking for pads, floor beams, things to jump over or go around, etc.

Last Week in Photos: November 11 + 14

Monday Thursday Despite several sick people this week, the kids made the most of their time together by developing a movie plot + deciding the cast of characters (everyone has a role). They began filming several scenes immediately after study hall. Discussion about timing, lines + what's next ran throughout our day. Miss Pam presented …

M – November 18: Sew Free

We're sewing + dyeing fabric with vegetable peels. I'll bring some fabric scraps + my sewing box, but we'll need more contributions of fabric, felt, thread, + needles.

M – November 11: Vintage Kitchen Science

We’re cooking quirky recipes from generations past. Today's dish: Tomato Soup Cupcakes, made with canned tomato soup. Yum.... Let’s also do blind tastings behind a veil of absolute secrecy!

M – November 4: Playing with Electricity!

Snap circuits + beyond, we’ll explore all the electric stem challenges we can combine! Please bring whatever you have to add. Lego SPIKE sets, electricity experiments or any type of robotics are what we're going for today. We'll keep the sets on several different tables, so everyone has a chance to try without combining pieces. Please be prepared to man your table + help people understand how to use/play with/explore your project/set.

M – October 28: Wizard Craft!

We're going to start the day by eating donuts off of a string, a longstanding tradition! Please bring donuts to cover your people (one per person). It's fun, funny + a great way to work for your breakfast – adults are encouraged to participate! We'll set up at the little park directly across the street down the pathway and off to the right (west). We'll have to size everyone in real time (holding a string up to their face, real fancy-like), so plan on walking across the street right away.
