Today we’re working on our Halloween costumes – anything that involves sewing, cardboard prep-making, mask +/or costume design. Please bring extra fabric, cardboard, + any sewing machines/materials/needles you’re willing to share. If the kids want to work on play costumes, that’s fair game as well.

M – October 6: Pasta + Noodles
It’s National Noodle Day + we’re here for it! If you have a family noodle recipe you’d like to share, especially one where you shape the dough into something besides long strips, please bring it! Otherwise, we’ll take turns prepping this easy pasta recipe + using either rolling pins or a pasta machine to make noodles. You can literally shape your pasta into anything you’d like + then we’ll cook it in small batches.
M – September 29: TikTok Theater
Activity: It’s a weird mix of Theater (improv, playwriting, acting) + TikTok Dances – Please bring theater props to share – any old costume parts/wigs/weird shoes/clothing + makeup are welcome. We will set up an easy warm-up like “Bus Stop” for improv first thing, then move into writing/creating a play together, breaking into groups based on theme/content. We can also do performances today, if we’re quick, or keep working on it for perform another week. If there’s a TikTok dance you’d love us to learn together, let’s do that as well!
AR – November 15: Performances + Perlers
This week, we’re doing mini performances, 5-minute plays – we’ll use concessions, hair/makeup, a director, music, lights, whatever parts your kids want to play. I thought maybe we could follow a folk tale, like Little Red Riding Hood or a Grimm fairy tale, if everyone wants some guidance. I’m also happy to let them make something …
