We have a group site up in Blackhawk at Pickle Gulch. Reservation made for site 1. We’re allowed up to 30 people + 6 vehicles per site. Tents only. Cost is $30/family for both nights. Please Venmo me to reserve your space – @Christine-Emming or hand me some money when I see you.
Pickle Gulch is located at 517 Missouri Gulch Rd, Black Hawk, CO 80422, only about 45 minutes away from most of Denver. This spot has a large day use area w/ hiking trails, if anyone wants to join us for the daylight hours or any of the activities below. Central City is only 16 minutes away from our camping area, so my family will likely explore town a bit on Monday morning before the Gold Mind Tour.
Sunday, August 28
2:00 PM – Check-in. Set up camp + explore!
6:00 PM – Group taco dinner
8:30 PM – Games in the dark (ghost in the graveyard, flashlight tag, etc)
Monday, August 29
9:00 AM – Group hike (kid-friendly, i.e. short)
1:00 PM – Hidee Gold Mine Tour in Central City (optional)
Tuesday, August 30
1:00 PM Check-out. Pack up tents + vacate camp site. Day use area is available all day.

May 14-16, 2023 – Sand Dunes National Park (up to 40 ppl + 9 vehicles. Cost of $28/family)
May 21-23, 2024 – Mesa Verde National Park (5 sites reserved @ $80/site)
