M – December 8: Chocolate-Fueled Writing

It’s National Brownie Day, so there’ll be more baking, of course. Let’s organize this first and get our space smelling amazing with a couple batches of chocolatey goodness in the oven. Our second activity today is creative writing with prompts + simple words games like Mad Libs.

M – October 7: Wild Art + (Cup)cake Walk

It’s also baking time! Those who are interested can help to bake several sets of cupcakes today. We do have loads of small bakers, so we’ll probably need to bake in parent- or teen-lead groups. I’ll bring the other ingredients (oil + eggs), cupcake trays + liners.

M – February 6: Game + Puzzle Exchange

It’s another game day, but different! This time, bring games + puzzles your family has outgrown, didn’t enjoy, or just no longer use. We’ll figure out how to swap them fairly. (We’ll probably play them too.) We can also leave a few favorites in our Wildling tub + start a puzzle stack in the little …

M – December 12: Baking + Snowflakes

It’s baking week! Bring whatever your kiddos want to bake, and let’s get busy in the kitchen. I’ll try to buy some of these paper doilies on my grocery run tomorrow, so we can make these glue-gun snowflakes. (Or here in printable, if you’re not a video person.) If anyone has another simple craft, please …

IH – October 20: Hand Sewing + Baking

Time to strengthen our finger muscles. Sewing by hand is a challenge for any age, but it’s also fun to bring a drawn character to life, make a sock puppet, or to make the apples the play kitchen set is missing so the stuffies can enjoy autumn. I have some string and lots of buttons …

AR – October 18: Cupcakes + Masks – Plus an Optional Fishing/Park Excursion!

It’s National Chocolate Cupcake Day! To celebrate, we’ll bake and decorate cupcakes. We’ll use two boxed mixes + I’ll bring some piping bags, some empty, some with homemade frosting. Please bring some icing your kiddos can eat – some of it comes in bags already! – and discuss safe options for decorating without licking communal …
